Overall I did save time on my painting project, but the device has some drawbacks:1. Even with great care you will get paint ont the metal portion of the shield, have plenty of rags handy. 2. The line produced by the Accubrush is not perfect, I wound up cutting in by hand for my second coat to even things up. 3. At least this device kept paint off the ceiling! 4. Final note, the plastics used in the design are OK... In February I began painting my two-story house and tried out this highly bragged about Accubrush tool for painting along the edges of trim and the ceiling. Let me tell you, this was a big mistake! My wife and I bought the best that Accubrush had to offer with all of the extras. We happily watched the demonstration video that came with the tool several times, marveling at how wonderful it spread paint so evenly. When we applied paint to the roller and began our project, that's when our problems began. To our horror, nothing worked as well as shown on the online demonstration video or our own video-CD. The roller did not lay paint as nice as shown, nor did the brush. In fact, it was extremely difficult to gauge the amount of paint (we were using premium paint)to apply to the roller. It would either drip or skip the smooth surface of our smooth walls. The brush would over paint the edge to the other wall. I'm thankful we did not...
