This phone had the features I wanted and to top it all was in the price range I was willing to spend. The problem with forwarding or voicemail not kicking in for 60 seconds concerned me. I had read different reviews in different places saying that it was controlled in your Skype account not the phone. Great well I had it already set for 15 seconds then forward. I got the phone plugged it in and within minutes it was up and running. On the first test it didn't forward until after the 60 seconds. I double checked my account settings and sure enough 15 seconds. Now I was bummed and trying to figure out what to do when I needed to have it forward. I come back to the phone after a couple minutes and it said there was an update for the phone... I ran the update and problem fixed. Now I'm... Following this I reactivated voicemail. 2) I recorded a new voice message on the GE 30591 to replace my old one that was recorded with my previous phone. Voila, things worked fine and I am happy. This saved me from returning the phone.As you may know, GE Customer Service says the voicemail problem rests with Skype. They may be right, but their menu system on the phone is somewhat arcane, the user manual does not help, and they do not provide useful answers to those who experience this problem.
